If there is one thing I can recommend to everyone with a toddler it's renovate a house, while living in it!!!... and if you believe that one I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn!! The whole process has been obnoxious and very trying. Most of Jaxson's toys are boxed up in the living room and/or covered in plastic like the rest of the first floor.... Most days I want to scream, oh wait, most days I do scream!
All of the first floor windows were installed over the course of last week. They look great and Brian has started the pain in the ass process of doing the trim and window sills

what he has done looks great but as with everything else in this house nothing is ever easy so it's slow going.
Last week we found out that the previous owners did some funky moves in the bathroom (see above, nothing is easy because of the freaking Bowmans!) and recessed the tub surround into the bathroom wall and there was not enough space for the plumber to run the lines necessary for the upstairs plumbing... so long story short we had to rip our tub surround out to have a new smaller one installed giving them room for the necessary plumbing, they also moved the plumbing from the exterior to the interior wall....

we need to do some patch work to the drywall and we will eventually redo this bathroom completely, but for now the nice new tub and fixtures are enough.

some plumbing upstairs, this will be the potty

future home of the sink

what was run in the basement to tie it all together, not real sure why that's not in the closet but I can't win them all!

the old cast iron pipe was cut in half and replaced with PVC
Yesterday we had our framing and electrical rough in inspection, and we passed with flying colors.

here's the insulation waiting to be installed.
The mason was supposed to extend the chimney today but his helper didn't so up so he'll be back Monday?? ... I'm starting to realize that people who work in any form of construction do more baby-sitting and excuse making then actual work!!
